Wisconsin Newspaper Association Names New Executive Director

By: An Illinois newspaper lobbyist will serve as the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's next executive director.

Beth Bennett has worked as government relations director for the Illinois Newspaper Association for 23 years. She also has worked with IPA member services, the IPA's clipping bureau and advertising placement.

She plans to start her role with the WNA in Madison on May 3.

She will replace Peter Fox, who has served as WNA's executive director since 2004. Fox announced last November he plans to move to Montana and continue working in government relations, but he plans to work with Bennett through a transition period.
