'Women of Comics and Illustration' This Weekend at Mass. Store

By: E&P Staff "Brenda Starr" artist June Brigman will be among six creators appearing at a "Women of Comics and Illustration" event this Saturday in Worcester, Mass.

Also, a 2003 "For Better or For Worse" comic donated by cartoonist Lynn Johnston will be raffled off at the event. Proceeds from the autographed original strip -- valued at $375 -- will go to local libraries for buying women-created comics and graphic novels, according to an article in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

The event will be held at the That's Entertainment collectible store in Worcester.
