'WSJ' Launches Career Site for Financial Professionals

By: E&P Staff The Wall Street Journal announced Tueday that it had launched FINS.com, a career site specifically for financial professionals.

Some of the features of the free-to-use Web site include the Bull/Bear Report, a blog-style column that tracks the financial job market, and Morning Coffee, which provides a career spin on the latest financial news. The site also allows users to search for job opportunities and research 1,500 companies in multiple sectors.

Also available are access to finance-specific career information, such as job-search tips and career transition advice.

"The site offers a powerful combination of news, advice and jobs for people in the financial industry, backed by the strength of The Wall Street Journal," Ann Sarnoff, president of Dow Jones Ventures, said in a statement.

"Large general job boards traditionally have under-served the needs of
finance professionals, and FINS.com takes a unique, comprehensive
approach to this segment by creating a daily resource that appeals to
both active and passive job seekers alike," Kevin Hatfield, FINS.com's
general manager, said in a statement.

Additional features are expected to debut in the coming months.
