'WSJ.' Magazine Increasing Circ, Frequency

By: E&P Staff WSJ., the glossy magazine published by The Wall Street Journal, will become a every-other-month publication with an increased circulation of 1.5 million beginning next March, the paper said Wednesday.

WSJ has been a quarterly with a distribution of 800,000 since its launch in September 2008.

The magazine had been inserted in Weekend Edition copies distributed in 17 of the Journal's largest geographic markets, but will now be expanded to distribution to al U.S. subscribers.

WSJ. will also be available on newsstands.

Outside the U.S., the magazine will maintain its current distribution of 160,000 copies. The magazine is inserted in copies of The Wall Street Journal Asia and The Wall Street Journal Europe.

Beginning with its March issue, WSJ. will be followed by six issues in a year, with publication in May, June, September, October and December.

The Journal said the magazine has attracted 64 new advertisers to franchise, with 20 buying ads in the newspaper or online for the first time.
