WSJ.com Launches Feature Aimed at Chinese Readers

Posted
By: E&P Staff In its push to further international expansion, especially in Asia, The Wall Street Journal Online launched today a "multimedia" feature for Chinese readers called "Beautiful Country" -- the Chinese name for America.

Wall Street Journal scribe Li Yuan covers how Americans do business and on the flip side, how the Chinese conduct theirs.

The feature is free and available in both English and Chinese and provides video (in both languages), interactive maps, and the ability for readers to comment.

"We are launching 'Beautiful Country' at a time when international business news and information has become exceedingly important," Almar Latour, managing editor of the Wall Street Journal Online, said in a statement. "The goal is to cast an analytical and experienced eye on American business culture and to help readers understand the nuances."
