By: E&P Staff One of the country's youngest syndicated columnists, Brian Till, implores his peers to start paying for the news.
Till writes how he consumes news from all sorts of newspaper sources usually for no more than $40 over the past three years. The Creators Syndicated writer reasons that many young people don't want to see the country's top metros like the Los Angeles Times go out of business and would fork over $100 a year to save the papers.
As a result, Till decided to subscribe to four newspapers in financial distress: the Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, Rocky Mountain News, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
He suggests that newspaper companies "collude" and demand for readers to pay for the news "be it digital or print."
