The EPPY™ Awards, presented by Editor & Publisher, honor the best media-affiliated websites across 43 diverse categories. Now in its 16th year, this international contest has increased the number of divisions to three, including websites with more than 1 million unique monthly visitors, websites with 250,000 to 1 million unique monthly visitors, and websites with less than 250,000 unique monthly visitors.
EPPY™ judges are leaders in all facets of media, including website design, marketing/advertising, editorial, technology, education, and management. We select professionals to serve as judges who have distinguished themselves in their field and who demonstrate exceptional vision and understanding of today's technology.
EPPY™ judging utilizes a proprietary system developed by Editor & Publisher. The computer program tabulates scoring, ensuring accurate calculations. Judges adhere to specific guidelines and criteria when evaluating entries, emphasizing that the highest degree of fairness and integrity is used to reach definitive results. Judges look for the best combination of creativity and functionality.
In addition to presenting awards to the media industry, the EPPY™ Awards recognize excellence in college and university journalism with awards being given in five different categories including Best College Newspaper Website.
The winners of the 2011 EPPY™ Awards will be announced on editorandpublisher.com, Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.
EPPY™ winners will receive an engraved award recognizing their achievement and will be included in press releases, along with being acknowledged in Editor & Publisher Magazine.
