AccuWeather.com Partners with Verve Wireless

By: E&P Staff AccuWeather.com of State College, Pa., has announced a partnership with Verve Wireless, Encinitas, Calif., that gives Verve customers access to AccuWeather.com's localized weather information.

AccuWeather.com provides Verve with content such as current conditions, day and night forecasts and weather alerts. Content is searchable by ZIP code, city and state and available in English and Spanish.

"This partnership allows us to extend the same outstanding AccuWeather.com weather content to a growing list of over 150 local media companies across the US now served by Verve," AccuWeather.com Wireless Services Director David Mitchell said in a statement.

The proprietary Verve Local Content Gateway allows local media companies and advertisers to extend their reach on mobile devices across all major carriers.

The rollout will distribute AccuWeather.com weather content to 134 newspaper and television mobile Web sites, including properties of the New York Times Regional Media Group, Freedom Communications and MediaNews Group.
