Agfa Introducing XXT Platesetter, Clean-out Unit

Agfa, Mortsel, Belgium, is introducing the Advantage N XXT platesetter for high-end newspaper printers that need to match varying production peaks and newspaper printers that are exploring new business opportunities.

Agfa says the new model will allow such sites to make better use of press capacity and deliver the higher-quality output required for the hybrid market.

The Advantage N XXT will image N92VCF violet chem-free plates at the IFRA Expo in Hamburg, Oct. 4-6.

For those plates, Agfa also will launch the VXCF dedicated clean-out unit. The company says the plate and new clean-out unit will help newspapers reduce costs and increase productivity. The system can exceed 300 plates/hour, and chem-free setups use less energy to require less floor space, according to Agfa.
