Posted

Veteran broadcaster Amie Pollard has acquired Dothan, Alabama, heritage stations WOOF-FM (99.7) and WOOF-AM (560), along with FM translators W261AT (100.1) and W296DQ (107.1), through her newly formed AMP Media LLC. The acquisition marks a milestone for the nearly 80-year-old stations, making Pollard only the third woman to own the WOOF properties since their founding in 1948.

Pollard's broadcasting career spans more than 25 years in the Wiregrass region, beginning in radio sales before advancing into leadership roles including general manager, operations manager, sales manager and program director. She also became well known as co-host of “Pollard & K.C. in the Morning” on WTVY-FM, where she also served as program director.
