AP Archive Goes Multimedia

By: E&P Staff The Associated Press is now offering its stock photography, film and video content through AP Archive.

"Many of our customers no longer think in terms of just footage or just photos because media convergence has meant that they generally need both," Alwyn Lindsey, AP director of international archives, said in a statement. "This approach is a direct response to the new market needs and it allows us to provide customers with the diversity of materials they require."

The content in the archives dates back to 1896 and is updated daily, the association said. The archives also contain content from AP partners ABC News, Australian Broadcasting Corp., Sky News and China State Television.
