AP Runs with Real Media's Open AdStream

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Associated Press is exclusively using 24/7 Real Media's Open AdStream to serve third party ads within its syndicated news stories on its Custom News network. The news service previously used DoubleClick, according to MediaPost.

The Custom News network makes AP news pages look like the host's media company's site. For example, if a user clicks on an AP headline within the Fox News Web site, they are brought to hosted page that is delivered by AP but customized to fit the Fox News format.

"Open AdStream will give us the ability to seamlessly serve and manage our ad campaigns on more than 450 hosted Web sites around the world," said Jane Seagrave, director of AP Digital, in a statement.

Other 24/7 Real Media Open AdStream clients include weather.com, FoxNews.com, Lycos, and Forbes.com
