By: Dave Astor Newspaper editors now have another advice column to choose from in a post-Ann Landers world.
Therese Borchard, 31, has begun self-syndicating "Therese's Pieces of Advice: A Gen X Hotline." It already appears in eight newspapers, and recently finished a close second in an advice-column poll conducted by
The Sun of Baltimore. First was "Dear Abby" by Jeanne Phillips of Universal Press Syndicate.
In her feature, Borchard discusses parenting, dating, work issues, and more.
The Maryland resident (
borchard@ix.netcom.com) has written articles for various newspapers and magazines. She is also the author of a number of books -- including
I Like Being Catholic, I Like Being Married, and
Winging It: Meditations of a Young Adult.
