Bundle-Conveyor, Stackers Among Recent Quipp Sales

Posted
By: E&P Staff Miami-based Quipp Systems recently installed a portable bundle-conveyor system in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's plant in Deerfield Beach, where it transports bundles from ROP and insert lines to dock doors for loading into trucks and cars. The system comprises rollerslat and matte top conveyors. Upstream, the Sun-Sentinel uses Quipp stackers and Packman packaging systems.

Pairs of Quipp Model 500C stackers, with bundle-compression capability and Squeeze Stream Roller for handling thin products, were ordered by The Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer (with two Viper three-quarter wrappers) and Madison (Wis.) Newspapers.

Web-reduction kits for Quipp stackers were recently sold to: The Greenville (S.C.) News, New York Post, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant, The Leaf-Chronicle, Clarksville, Tenn. (with three powered outfeed rollers and two stream aligner kits), The Lansing (Mich.) State Journal, and The Gazette, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Quipp also was hired by American Color Graphics to relocate an inserter from Rhode Island to American Color's facility in Dayton, N.J. Quipp was responsible for disassembly, removal and re-installation.

American Color has a 16:2 Quipp High Speed inserter and Model 500 stacker in its Medina, Ohio, plant and two inserters (16:2 and 12:2), two Model 500 stackers and two Viper wrappers in its Dayton plant.
