While a bill to revive the Columbia River Crossing clings to life in the Legislature, Brendan Monaghan’s brief career as an editorial columnist for The Oregonian is over—and it’s hard to escape the conclusion that his opposition to the CRC is the reason. 

Monaghan, 29, started writing a twice-monthly, right-leaning column for the daily in August 2012.
