By: E&P Staff Business Wire, the press-release distribution service, expanded its online offerings last week with several new RSS feeds.
Users can now receive the latest stories in My PressPass through an individualized RSS feed based on subscriptions to industry and subject selections. And there is now an RSS feed under the Photos & Multimedia heading, made up entirely of audio and video images.
The company also launched RSS feeds under Hot Topics, a section devoted to breaking and topical releases. Current feeds include the tsunami and nanotechnology.
"Business Wire is committed to using the best technology tools for the job in our effort to serve the media and get them our members' news in the fastest and easiest way they can use it on deadline," Laura Sturaitis, vice president, new media development, said in a statement. "So naturally we wanted to make RSS part of that mix."
