Wesner Publications, of Cordell, OK, has acquired the Castro County News a weekly paid-circulation newspaper in Dimmitt, TX, from Blackmon Publishing, Inc.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.  

The purchase was announced by Brett Wesner, principal of Wesner Publications.  Blackmon Publishing, Inc., is owned and managed by Jeff Blackmon, of Shamrock, TX.  

Wesner announced that Bill Holland, of Dimmitt, will continue to serve as Associate Publisher.  

Blackmon Publishing, Inc., was advised by Rollie Hyde of W. B. Grimes & Company.
