By: Mark Fitzgerald Free Weekly Targeted At Young, Middle-Class
The publisher of the Wednesday Journal Inc. weeklies in Chicago's western suburbs moves into the city Thursday with Chicago Journal, a 15,000-free-distribution weekly printed on peach-colored newsprint and targeted at the young middle-class families building homes on the southern and western edges of the downtown Loop.
"We believe a good community newspaper is how communities help define themselves," said Publisher Dan Haley, who along with Operations Director Andrew Johnston holds a majority share of 20-year-old Wednesday Journal Inc.
