'Chicago Sun-Times' Chooses E-mail Vendor

By: The Chicago Sun-Times will distribute e-mails to readers via PublishMail LLC of Boulder, Colo.

E-mail is "the online medium that consumers check daily," noted John W. Cary, vice president of Digital Chicago Inc., which handles the Sun-Times's electronic properties. The Sun-Times will offer news, sports, entertainment information, and classifieds to consumers who sign up for the e-mails.

PublishMail will handle the delivery of those e-mails. The company also offers e-mail publishing to Detroit Newspapers, The Denver Post, the Boston Herald, and other papers.

PublishMail says its solution is totally automated and is capable of sending the entire contents of Web pages to subscribers.
