By: E&P Staff Scott Stantis put aside partisanship in his conservative "Prickly City" comic to offer a get-well message to Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
In this past Saturday's
strip, liberal coyote pup Winslow and conservative girl Carmen note that "some things are more important ... than partisan bickering. They then tell Elizabeth Edwards to "feel better" and ask readers to donate to the "Susan G. Komen for the Cure" organization that's fighting breast cancer, which Edwards has.
"Prickly City" is distributed by Universal Press Syndicate. Stantis is also an editorial cartoonist for The Birmingham (Ala.) News and Copley News Service.
The Saturday "Prickly City" comic was mentioned on Mike Rhode's ComicsDC blog (http://comicsdc.blogspot.com).
