COXnet Announces Online and Digital Publishing Unit Changes

By: COXnet, the online and digital publishing unit of Cox Newspapers, Inc., announced organizational changes on Monday, company officials said.

Other departments are not undergoing restructuring, General Manager John Reetz said in a statement.

Tonya Echols has been promoted to the new position of executive director, the statement said.

Michael Harris, director of business and competitive intelligence, will focus on analytical initiatives within the Cox Newspapers-system. COXnet research and usability manager Sarah Teague will report to Harris.

Sue Cleere, former manager of special projects and project management, has become director of partner development, a new department that includes partner services, which will have an increased focus on help desk services.

David Lee will become director of advertising operations and quality assurance. Kane Cochran has become manager of a new unit, Site Innovation, and will focus on innovative ideas and approaches that can be used at Cox Newspapers sites.

Rich Danielson has become manager of partner services and will focus efforts on customer service and help desk interaction. Denise Porter has become manager of projects.

The Atlanta-based COXnet supports more than 30 Web sites. Cox Newspapers, which includes 17 daily and 26 non-daily newspapers and shoppers, is a division of Atlanta-based Cox Enterprises, Inc. The company's major newspapers include The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Palm Beach Post, Austin American-Statesman and Dayton Daily News.
