By: E&P Staff The PrintCity alliance of more than 40 companies in the graphic arts appointed David Stamp marketing and communications director.

Stamp has 21 years' experience in the graphic arts industry, serving most recently in several worldwide and European communications roles for Goss International and its predecessors.

Calling PrintCity "an organisation that can consistently deliver positive workflow driven production solutions for the graphic arts," Stamp said in a statement that PrintCity will research and identify growth opportunities between now and the quadrennial drupa trade show, which next convenes in 2008 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

PrintCity Managing Director Rainer Kuhn explained in the announcement that after PrintCity's recent focus on topics that included RFID technology and packaging solutions, "we wanted to ensure that we communicated our activities more positively all year round." He added that Stamp's appointment leading up to October's IfraExpo, in Amsterdam, "will be particularly important for the Value Added Printing of Newspapers project and other PrintCity initiatives."
