By: Dave Astor The deadline for possibly keeping "The Norm" alive has been extended two months -- until Dec. 31.
Michael Jantze's comic ended print syndication with King Features on Sept. 12. His wife, Nicole, subsequently announced that Michael would do new strips for TheNorm.com if 4,000 people signed up as site members by Nov. 1 (see E&P, Sept. 22). Membership costs a minimum of $25 a year.
As of today, 2,168 subscribers have come aboard. Nicole said that if memberships continued to arrive at the same pace, the 4,000 goal would be reached by the end of the year. So the deadline was extended.
