By: E&P Staff "Dilbert" cartoonist Scott Adams is releasing his 2001 "God's Debris" as a free e-book.
The book (http://www.ucomics.com/godsdebris.phtml) is a non-"Dilbert" work that discusses questions about religion, philosophy, and science.
Why is the book being offered for free? "While it has been a solid financial success, it hasn't reached its potential," said Adams, whose "Dilbert" strip is syndicated by United Media. "I attribute that to the fact that it's an almost impossible book to explain, and therefore impossible to market in the traditional way."
The cartoonist added that he expects the "God's Debris" sequel -- "The Religion War" (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2004) -- to reach a wider audience because of the free e-book launch.
