Escenic Solutions Put 'Globe and Mail' on Mobile Web

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Globe and Mail, based in Toronto, has gone live with digital and mobile offerings on the content management system from Escenic, Oslo, Norway.

The Globe and Mail uses Escenic Content Engine and Escenic Content Studio to create, edit and maintain online content. Its mobile sites are built and hosted by the Globe and Mail's own resources using Escenic Mobile Solution, which includes integrated technology and know-how from Escenic partner Mobiletech, provider of software to enable the mobile Web.

Last year, the Canadian national daily chose CCI Europe and Escenic to create a multimedia newsroom for its print and online properties. Globe and Mail offerings powered by Escenic include GlobeAndMail.com, GlobeAndMail.mobi, ReportonBusiness.com and GlobeInvestor.com.

Escenic was acquired in 2008 by Bergen-based Vizrt, creator of content production tools for digital media, ranging from 3D graphics and maps to integrated video workflow and online publishing tools.
