Ferrara Named AP Online Editor

By: E&P Staff Lou Ferrara has been named online editor at The Associated Press, based in the news cooperative's New York headquarters, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported today.

Ferrara, 35, is currently general manager of electronic media for the Herald-Tribune, where he oversees heraldtribune.com and SNN-Channel 6, the Herald-Tribune's 24-hour local news station.

He'll start July 1 at the AP, where he'll be responsible for producing AP's text, video, and multimedia services for the Web. He will also work with all of AP's news operations to develop multimedia coverage of breaking news and enterprise stories for Web needs.
