By: Fire struck the Richmond Times-Dispatch printing plant in Hanover County this afternoon as the Sunday edition was being printed.
The fire started shortly after noon in a press that was printing classified ads for the Sunday newspaper.
Newspaper and fire officials say no one was seriously hurt and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
More than a dozen fire and rescue units from Hanover and nearby counties went to the plant near the interchange of US Route 301 and Interstate 295.
The plant began operations in 1992 with the merger of the Richmond News Leader and The Times-Dispatch.
