By: E&P Staff Digital Technology in Springville, Utah (which recently opened an office in Brazil under 25-year software industry veteran Luciane Schuette), announced that Verlagsgesellschaft Madsack GmbH & Co. KG has selected DTI Editorial as a groupwide solution for its 17 sites across Germany in a project expected to roll out during 2009-2010.

Madsack has two main publishing centers, the largest in Hannover and another, jointly owned with Axel Springer Verlag, in Leipzig.

In total there will be more than 1,000 users across 32 titles, all able to share content, enabling increased efficiency as well as an ability to better gather more news stories across the group. The DTI Editorial suite provides Madsack with modules for reporting, page planning, pagination, and an archive.

"Before we made this key decision, we first completed DTI projects at two of our newspapers," Rainer Golembek, Media Concepts, Madsack, said in a statement.

Incorporating DTI's Liquid Media for efficient multi-channel publishing, the solution will allow Madsack to combine content and deliver it on-demand, where and as needed.

DTI Editorial provides a tight integration of products that include Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy to create a collaborative multi-media environment allowing several users to work simultaneously on the same content, providing faster production and better management of multiple story versions.
