Glacier Ventures Chooses Saxotech for Web Publishing

By: E&P Staff Glacier Ventures, Vancouver, B.C., will install the online publishing solution from Saxotech, Aalborg, Denmark, and Tampa, Fla., to publish content on its properties' Web sites and to capture user feedback.

Saxotech Online will be integrated with Glacier's existing editorial system to capture content as it is created and channel it to online sites. The publishing company's Web sites will run on a managed Web services platform powered by Saxotech's centralized utility hosting infrastructure.

The solution also provides a Web analytics tool for real-time interactive reporting that Glacier management can use to generate user reports to devise strategies for new revenue streams and improving online activity.

Glacier Ventures publishes newspapers, trade publications and farm journals. In late 2005, the company acquired the bulk of Hollinger's Canadian media assets, and currently distributes more than a million newspaper copies in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
