Currently the technology editor for
Time Out New York, Gunn is the former ethics editor for
Yahoo! Internet Life magazine. A paper she wrote for the Brookings Institute in 1994 was one of the first discussions of the pros and cons of online anonymity, according to Consumer WebWatch.
Consumer WebWatch is a project of Consumers Union, the publisher of
Consumer Reports. With a goal of improving the credibility of online content, the project is funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Open Society Institute.
