By: Hearst Interactive Media of New York named Michael Dunn, 44, formerly chief technology officer and executive vice president of Encoda Systems Inc., as vice president.
"In his new role, Michael will be directing many of Hearst Interactive Media's efforts to support and lead technology-driven corporate operational improvement initiatives," said Kenneth A. Bronfin, president of Hearst Interactive Media. "In addition, he will be actively involved in Hearst's strategic investment activity -- identifying new investment opportunities and supporting the companies within the Hearst portfolio."
Previously, Dunn worked as corporate chief technology officer for Time Warner Inc. and lead technologist for Time Warner Digital Media's Investment Fund. He also served as chief technology officer of Dell Computer Corp.'s online unit.
