HOLLINGER INCREASES BIDHIT.com INVESTMENT

By: Staff Reports Starts Pilot Project At Chicago Sun-Times

Hollinger International Inc. increased its investment in Bidhit.com Inc., a real-time auction
company, this week. Hollinger now owns 12.4% of the Bothell, Wash.-based dot com.

As part of the deal, Hollinger invested an additional $300,000 for a pilot project at the
Chicago Sun-Times to create a co-branded auction site for suntimes.com.

Bidhit.com also gets $2.1 million in advertising in Hollinger publications. Combined with the
initial December deal between the two companies, Bidhit.com gets $3.1 million in total
advertising from Hollinger.

Content from selected Hollinger publications will be provided to Bidhit.com, especially for
its new consumer education section.

Hollinger first invested in the Web company in December.
