Honolulu Loses Afternoon Edition

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Honolulu Advertiser will halt publication of its afternoon edition next Friday. The daily has been putting out an evening paper since 2001, after its circulation and advertising operations split from the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

Editors told employees Friday that afternoon circulation numbers simply were not high enough to continue publishing an evening edition.

Paid afternoon circulation was about 22,000 compared to 145,000 papers in the morning.
