By: Scott A. Wright, senior vice president of operations for the Journal Register Co. in Michigan, has taken on the additional title of president and publisher of The Oakland Press.

Wright, 43, replaces Kevin Haezebroeck, who was named president and publisher of The Macomb Daily in a company restructuring announced Monday. Jim McCormack, previously the publisher at the Mount Clemens-based newspaper, has left the paper, Wright said.

Haezebroeck, 49, also was named president and publisher of Independent Newspapers Inc., a division of JRC in Michigan that includes The Macomb Daily, The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak, The Advisor and Source weeklies and Voice Newspapers, another group of weeklies in Macomb County. Haezebroeck will continue to lead the Greater Detroit Newspaper Network, and he'll also continue to oversee the Rochester-based Suburban Lifestyles Publications.

Yardley, Pa.-based Journal Register Co. owns 22 daily newspapers with a circulation of more than 550,000 and 345 non-daily publications, according to the company's Web site. It also owns the Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant.
