Journal Register Co. announced today it has acquired an equity interest in PowerAdz.com, an
online publishing and classifieds provider to the newspaper industry.

Trenton, N.J.-based Journal Register Co. and Waller-Sutton, a private equity investment firm,
joined PowerAdz.com's current investors, including First Albany Enterprise Funding, Advantage
Capital Partners, Hudson Venture Partners LP, Exponential Business Development, TS Capital,
and several private investors.

Journal Register Co. first worked with Rensselaer, N.Y.-based PowerAdz.com in February when the
newspaper group chose the company's Zwire! publishing platform to power its Web sites. Journal
Register operates 69 individual Web sites for its 25 dailies and 194 non-daily publications.
The company is also an equity partner in New York-based AdOne LLC, an online classifieds system.

PowerAdz.com has over 1,400 newspaper affiliates, primarily in small- and medium-sized markets.
