Junho Lee joins The New York Times

Posted

We are excited to announce that Junho Lee is joining the Graphics desk as a graphics editor focused on 3-D modeling and visualization.

Junho is a trained architect joining us from Rockwell Group, an architecture and design firm, where he analyzed data to help people understand how spaces are utilized. Previously, he worked as a design technology specialist at the architecture company Gensler, where he created 3-D visualizations and built tools for spatial simulations.

As a certified construction document technologist, Junho has spent countless hours analyzing and interpreting building plans and engineering reports — a skill we expect will be an important part of our spatial investigations. Junho is also fluent in a number of scripting languages and development environments.

A native of South Korea, Junho graduated cum laude from Seoul National University’s College of Engineering. He received a master’s in advanced architectural design from Columbia University and is enrolled in a part-time program for a master’s in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Junho starts on Jan. 6. Please welcome him to The Times.
