Ten-year-old Cody Gifford, son of television host, singer, and
cruise line spokeswoman Kathie Lee Gifford, sued a tabloid last
week over an article claiming he is 'incorrigible,' The
Associated Press reports.

The libel lawsuit filed in a Florida court claims The Examiner
tabloid fabricated stories that Cody misbehaved on the set of
the ABC movie 'Janine & Alex: Cover Girls.' A Feb. 8 article
was headlined 'Kathie Lee's Turning Poor Cody Into a Monster.'

'It's a gratuitous, nasty article about a ... child and they
think they ought to take some action,' Los Angeles lawyer Barry
Langberg told the AP.

Gifford recently announced she would leave 'Live With Regis &
Kathie Lee.'
