Local Media Association joins the Media Job Board helping employers with expanded reach

Editor & Publisher Magazine (E&P) announced that the Media Job Board, a news media-focused multimedia recruitment platform operated as an alliance between E&P, The Poynter Institute and America's Newspapers, is proud to add Local Media Association (LMA) to the partnership.

The Media Job Board (MJB), created in early 2020, has featured over 1,500 job openings from large and small media companies, including The New York Times, CNN, Harvard & Princeton Universities, and over 600 other companies worldwide.

“The key benefit from this new, exciting LMA partnership is the increased reach we now offer the companies who use the Media Job Board to source the talent they need,” stated Mike Blinder, founder of the Media Job Board and publisher of E&P Magazine. "Like most recruitment platforms, the Media Job Board uses advanced programmatic technology to place openings on over 25 top job sites, like Indeed®, ZipRecruiter®, Glassdoor® and others. However, these partnerships provide our customers the ability to target the thousands of 'passive job seekers' who may not be actively looking for a new job, but may be interested in the openings and advancements posted job ads can provide them." Blinder continued, "It's simple. Not only do our job ads appear on major job sites, but we also place them in our monthly magazine and push them to all our partner websites, where we feature them next to the content on the pages of LMA's localmedia.org, Poynter.org, Newspapers.org and EditorandPublisher.com. Plus, those same ads appear in E&P’s daily “#NewsMedia Today” newsletter to over 35,000 email subscribers, as well as in the LMA’s weekly “Reinventing Business Models for News” and “Friday Wrap-Up” newsletters.

“I could not be more pleased with our new partnership,” stated Jay Small, co-CEO of the Local Media Association. We receive many requests from LMA members to post their jobs on our website. With our new partnership with the Media Job Board, we can assist them in their quest to find quality talent within the media industry."

Job seekers can view jobs for free at MediaJobBoard.com. Employers can post their ad for as little as $199 for 30 days at MediaJobBoard.com/Employers.

Today, E&P reports on all aspects of news media and multimedia news publishing. E&P still prints a monthly magazine and publishes content 24/7 on the EditorandPublisher.com website. The website has over 45,000 monthly unique visitors, mostly made up (68%) by self-described "news media management, c-suite," and news publishing executives.
