Loiacono to Lead Adobe Creative Solutions

By: E&P Staff Adobe Systems Inc., San Jose, Calif., appointed John Loiacono as senior vice president, Creative Solutions, reporting to President and Chief Operating Officer Shantanu Narayen.

In this role, Loiacono will have responsibility for the development, delivery, and marketing of Adobe's entire creative software portfolio, including Adobe Creative Suite, Macromedia Studio, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Macromedia Flash Professional, and Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Before joining Adobe, Loiacono had been with Sun Microsystems since 1987, most recently as executive vice president of software, with responsibility for technologies including the Solaris operating system and Java. He earlier was senior vice president of the operating platform group and chief marketing officer.
