By: E&P Staff Washington Post Writers Group columnist Marcela Sanchez is returning this week from a three-month maternity leave, reported WPWG Managing Editor James Hill on the syndicate's blog.
Sanchez covers Latin American issues. Hill noted that she'll have plenty to write about as her column resumes -- including the aftermath of the controversial Mexican election, the situation in Cuba as Fidel Castro recovers from surgery, the U.S. immigration debate, and more.
Her first column will move Wednesday for Friday release.
Sanchez, whose weekly WPWG feature is available in English and Spanish, joined The Washington Post in 1997 and began her column three years later.
