By: E&P Staff Markzware, Santa Ana, Calif., developer of PDF preflight, data-conversion and content-delivery software, has released the Microsoft Windows version of Q2ID, the QuarkXPress-to-Adobe InDesign conversion tool.
The InDesign plug-in requires InDesign v3 (CS) or v4 (CS2), installed. Markzware's Q2ID enables Adobe InDesign Windows (and Macintosh) users to convert QuarkXPress 3.3, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x data into a native InDesign document format. It converts numerous elements of an XPress document, including layers, page size, style sheets, fonts, text, images, lines, and tables, provided InDesign supports the elements.
