By: E&P Staff Caspio Inc., Mountain View, Calif., announced that following The Tampa Tribune's and Winston-Salem Journal's successful use of Caspio Bridge to rapidly publish databases on the Web and create Web database applications, Media General is adopting Caspio Bridge as its standard Web database and application-building platform for its newspaper and broadcast sites.
"A database not only helps explain and support a story, but in many cases it can be the story," Peter E. Howard, content and sesign vice president for Media General's Interactive Media Division, said in a statement.
Caspio Bridge helps media companies quickly deploy scalable online database applications without programming or software to install. Newspapers use Caspio Bridge to publish searchable databases for topics such as home sales, school test scores, and crime statistics.
