By: E&P Staff Morris DigitalWorks, the online division of Morris Communications Company, announced Tuesday the launch of its mdTransit 2.0 technology at the Amarillo (Texas) Globe-News' Web site,
www.drive.amarillo.com.
MdTransit is a licensed and AFP-hosted automotive solution for newspapers that aims to help customers shop for cars online while generating leads and sales for the newspaper's local market auto dealers.
"This is an extension of the investment and commitment we made when we acquired the Cobalt Media Services online automotive platform," Michael Romaner, president of Morris DigitalWorks, said in a statement.
MdTransit's portal technology uses a lifestyle approach and navigation that allows users to access inventory through a variety of search options. Users can compare specifications on select makes and models, gather pricing information, read user reviews, and offer their own testimonials.
Morris DigitalWorks provides tools, technologies, consulting, and Web development services to Morris' newspapers and external clients.
