MSNBC Posts New Bridge Inspection Data Base

Posted
By: Joe Strupp MSNBC.com, which drew praise after last year's Minneapolis bridge collapse for compiling an online data base of bridge inspection information for hundreds of bridges nationwide, has posted another expensive package of related data.

The site asserts that 17,000 bridges in the U.S. didn't get the two-year inspection that states have claimed.

The new records from the National Bridge Inventory provide inspection information on bridges dating back to 2006, according to MSNBC. The news outlet obtained the records after filing a Freedom of Information Act request.

The information can be found here.
