By: E&P Staff "Heathcliff" returned to The Star-Ledger Monday after being one of seven comics dropped last month.
The Newark, N.J.-based paper said far more people complained about the canceling of the Creators Syndicate cat panel than about the dropping of the other six comics.
"Brevity," the United Media panel that joined The Star-Ledger comics lineup during last month's shakeup (E&P Online, Oct. 2), was pulled to make room for the reinstated "Heathcliff."
New Jersey resident Peter Gallagher does "Heathcliff" under the "George Gately" byline of his late uncle, George Gallagher, who originated the comic.
