By: Jennifer Saba The New York Times will launch a new advertising section in Sunday Styles, called "Social Announcements."
The section, which will debut this Sunday, features wedding, engagement, partnership, and anniversary announcements. Ads will sell for $48 dollars per line with no limit. Photos will be charged using the same pricing scheme. A photo runs 22 lines. "Social Announcements" will appear online as well.
The advertising section is in addition to the wedding and partnership notices the paper runs in Styles. Those announcements remain under editorial. People can submit their notices for consideration in Styles and buy an ad if they choose.
The Times also charges for death notices at $48 per line.
