OneVision Adds PDF Error Reporting to Asura

By: E&P Staff OneVision, Regensburg, Germany, and Jersey City, N.J., has launched a new version of Asura Enterprise, its online file-transmission system that streamlines customer-to-prepress file flow.

The latest version includes new PDF error-reporting features that provide users with an on-screen depiction of the production file and a detailed status report with descriptions of any faulty file elements.

Asura Enterprise enables customers to remotely upload files into the prepress workflow, then confirms receipt via e-mail. If the file can be processed successfully, the e-mail contains a log report and a soft proof. For a defective file, the customer receives the log report and a PDF error report, which describes the faulty elements.
