Operations VP Lynn Dickerson Leaving McClatchy

By: E&P Staff The McClatchy Co. Operations Vice President Lynn Dickerson will leave on July 17 after nine years at the country's third-largest newspaper group.

Operations Vice Presidents Bob Weil and Frank Whittaker will oversee the 11 papers in the Southeast and Texas for which Dickerson is now responsible.

Dickerson joined McClatchy as publisher of The Modest (Calif.) Bee, just south of the group's Sacramento, Calif., headquarters. She was named a corporate vice president of operations in 2006.

McClatchy President and CEO Gary Pruitt said the company continue to "restructure and transition to a new business model -- one that requires us to be smaller and more efficient in every area of the organization."
