By: E&P Staff Publishers Circulation Fulfillment (PCF) has been named the San Francisco Chronicle's distribution partner.

The Chronicle will use PCF's management teams, logistics, and routing expertise for some of its distribution initially to areas that are less well served. PCF would not disclose which of the Chronicle's three plants it would be working with.

"We are very pleased to be working with PCF," said Chris Blaser, vice president of circulation at the Chronicle, in a statement. "Our launch activities with them have gone extremely well, and their solid operational, IT and logistics expertise strongly position us for growth in the months and years ahead."

Based in Rockleigh, N.J., PCF distributes over 1.5 million newspapers a day. Along with the Chronicle, PCF counts The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the San Jose Mercury News as clients.
