PowerOne Names Green Interim CEO

By: E&P Staff PowerOne Media Inc. of Troy, N.Y., announced management changes Tuesday. J. Markham Green, current chairman of the board, was named interim CEO, replacing co-CEOs Mark Chudzicki and Brendan Burns.

Chudzicki was named president of the group's classifieds and publishing division, while Burns has resigned "to pursue other opportunities," according to a press release.

PowerOne provides Web publishing and online classified solutions to newspapers.

The company is working with an executive search firm to find a permanent CEO. "PowerOne Media is restructuring the management team to better lead the company's growth and expansion into new markets," the release said.

Green is a former partner of Goldman Sachs.

Burns founded AdOne in 1995. The company merged with PowerAdz in December 2001 to become PowerOne.

The company is owned by 12 media companies, including Advance, Belo, Scripps, Hearst, Lee Enterprises, Media General, MediaNews Group, and Pulitzer.
